Here’s What Samantha SAvvy Said on the EH Podcast
When I got invited to join the EH Podcast, I thought we’d just chat a bit about real estate, DJing, maybe sprinkle in a few dance stories. But somewhere around minute ten, it turned into one of the deepest, most honest convos I’ve ever had on record.
This wasn’t a highlight reel. This was me, raw and real, sharing the full story of what it actually looks like to chase what lights you up—especially when your passions don’t fit into neat categories.
And yep, we recorded the whole thing.
If you’ve been trying to balance your creative drive with your professional life… or wondering if it’s too late to try that thing you’ve been daydreaming about for years… this episode is for you.
It’s all right here.
So, who even is Samantha SAvvy?
You already know me if you’ve been following my journey. But for anyone new: I’m a business builder, a dancer, a music producer, an international DJ, and now a speaker and coach.
Basically, I’m not someone who fits into a single title. I’ve tried—believe me—but the second I stopped trying to choose one version of myself, everything started to align.
This episode of the EH Podcast was the first time I publicly connected all those dots—and talked about how scary (and freeing) that really was.
Here’s what we got into—and why it matters
Let’s be real: this episode was less “interview,” more “therapy session with a mic.” I didn’t hold back.
I talked about my early years in commercial real estate—and why I left
Straight out of university, I threw myself into real estate. It wasn’t glamorous, and it definitely wasn’t fast. I worked in everything from appraisals to leasing to development. Eventually, I managed an industrial REIT in Calgary and decided it was time to do things my way.
But it wasn’t a snap decision. It took ten years, a ton of side hustling, and a lot of scary firsts to walk away from the corporate structure and bet on myself fully.
The best part? Everything I learned in real estate still shows up in how I move today. Strategy, structure, negotiation—it’s all there, just with more sequins and bass drops.
The dance floor taught me more about leadership than any boardroom
Before I ever touched a DJ deck, I was competing as a Latin dancer. National gold medal, international silver, hours and hours of training and teaching. But what most people don’t realize is that dance teams function a lot like small businesses.
There’s project management (aka, choreography), team dynamics, tight deadlines, leadership shifts, performance anxiety—you name it. I learned how to lead, support, and show up for something bigger than myself on a dance floor, not in a cubicle.
And that work ethic? It never left.
Samantha SAvvy on Eh Podcast – “I literally talked to my DJ controller before I used it“
No joke—I bought my first DJ deck and left it in the box for months. I was terrified. It felt like every button was an opportunity to screw up. But at the same time, something about that deck felt like freedom. I started watching tutorials, learning the software, failing constantly—and falling in love with the process.
What I didn’t know was that DJing would crack open a new kind of connection for me. Suddenly, I wasn’t just moving to music—I was creating it. And when people started coming up to me after sets saying things like, “That took me somewhere I didn’t even expect to go”? That’s when I knew I was doing the right thing.
The moment I stopped hiding my different identities was the moment everything clicked
For years, I kept everything separate.
Business Samantha. Dance Samantha. DJ SAvvy. MBA student. Music producer.
All different containers.
But in this episode of the EH Podcast, I explained why that stopped working. It was making me smaller. And the truth is, when I tried to shrink to fit what made other people comfortable, I didn’t feel like me.
So now? I let it all out. And that shift inspired my next chapter: SAvvy Speaks.
What is SAvvy Speaks? And why did it have to happen?
As I share on the Eh Podcast, Samantha SAvvy Speaks is my newest project—my voice, my message, my way. It’s the natural evolution of all the worlds I’ve walked through. It’s not a job title or a brand play. It’s a reclamation.
In the episode, I talk about how I realized my story could help other people find the courage to live theirs. That’s what I want SAvvy Speaks to do: to help people trust themselves, move with authenticity, and stop waiting to feel “ready.”
Confidence doesn’t come first. The leap does.
Why this episode of the EH Podcast matters—especially now

This episode is a reminder that your story doesn’t have to be linear. You’re allowed to do more than one thing. You’re allowed to evolve. You’re allowed to be a little messy and still make magic.
And if you need a push to make your next move?
This is it.
