Donna Kreisler on the Cost of Avoiding Reality We talk with Donna Kreisler about what happens when success on paper...
Who Is
Samantha SAvvy?
I didn’t set out to be a DJ.
I set out to be free.
When I started my journey, dance was my compass. I started in the structured world of competitive salsa and bachata. Sharp lines. Fast feet. Polished performance. It gave me discipline, yes, but more than that, it gave me belonging. It showed me what it felt like to connect to music, to people, to the pulse of something bigger than myself. But even then, something inside me was quietly searching for more.
Then the world stopped. The pandemic cracked things open in ways none of us expected. And in the silence, Kizomba found me.
There is something about Kizomba that does not ask you to perform. It asks you to listen. To be still in motion. To trust. I started learning the music first. Obsessively. The rhythms, the soul, the way one track could say more than words ever could. That quiet obsession turned into action. Alone in my room, I taught myself to mix. No formal training at first. Just intuition and endless nights. I did not plan to share it. But I couldn't not share it.
Soon, I was DJing at local socials and events. The first time I stood behind the deck, it was not confidence I felt. It was clarity. Like every step I had taken had brought me right there to that moment. A few months later, I was booked in Paris. I did not believe it at first. But something in me whispered, you are ready.
Since then, I have had the privilege of sharing my music all over the world. Each set a story. Each dance floor a canvas. The name DJ SAvvy took on a life of its own. But at its core, it has always just been me. Samantha. A girl who fell in love with the space that music creates.
Producing music was the next natural breath. I did not rush it. I waited until the sound I wanted to bring into the world felt honest. My first collaborative single released in December 2023. Soon, I was releasing not only my own singles, but EP albums as well. My songs capture not just rhythm, but intention. They are not just songs. They are moments. Memories turned audible.
But what matters to me most is not what I do. It is why I do it.
So many of us, especially women, carry stories we have silenced. Dreams we have buried under fear. I know that feeling intimately. That is why I created SAvvy. A space where art meets healing. Where music and coaching collide. It is more than a brand. It is my way of holding space for others to remember who they are.
Through my speeches, podcast episodes, group programs, and workshops, I work with women who are ready to step through their fear and into their truth. Not perfectly. Just fully.
What I have learned is that creativity and courage are intertwined. And every beat I mix, every track I produce, every speech I give and every voice I amplify, it is all part of the same mission. To help people come home to themselves.
People often ask, how did you get here? But the truth is, I am still arriving. Still becoming. Still dancing with what is next.
This path, like Kizomba itself, is not about control. It is about surrender. Listening. Trusting the rhythm. And moving anyway.
Speaking Topics & Workshop Themes
Here are some of the topics I Bring to the Microphone or Stage
Fearless Reinvention
Keynote
For anyone standing in the space between what was and what could be. I share the real and often messy journey of leaving structure behind and building something honest from scratch. This is not about reinvention as a performance. It is about trusting your own evolution and learning how to move before the path appears.
Owning Your Frequency
Keynote or Workshop
We each carry a unique energy that wants to be heard. In this session I guide people in tuning back into their voice and using it with clarity. It is a mix of storytelling and practical tools for showing up in your life and your work without shrinking or shapeshifting.
Women Who Lead from Within
Keynote or Panel
Not all power looks like power. This talk is for women who are tired of leading in ways that drain them. I speak to the quiet strength of intuitive leadership and how to lead from a place that feels rooted instead of reactive.
Intuition & the Power of Listening
Workshop
Everything I do begins with listening. In this session, I share how I use silence, observation, and internal awareness to create music and movement that feel aligned. Participants explore their own relationship to intuition and learn how to trust it more deeply in creative and personal choices.
Build a Brand From Your Story
Keynote or Workshop
Most brands are built to be seen. I built mine to be felt. This session explores what it means to create something from your truth and keep it honest as it grows. It is perfect for creatives and entrepreneurs who want to show up online and in the world without losing themselves in the process.
Music As A Form of Medicine
Workshop
Music is one of the oldest forms of healing. In this embodied session, I guide participants through sound and movement practices that help regulate emotion and restore connection. It is gentle, grounded, and deeply human. No performance. Just presence.
The Courage to Begin Again
Keynote
This talk holds space for people in transition. I share what it looked like to start over when I had no idea what came next, and how the breakdown became a turning point. It is a reminder that beginning again is not failure. It is wisdom in motion.
From Bedroom to Mainstage
Keynote or Fireside Chat
I did not come from industry. I came from curiosity. This talk is for anyone building something on their own terms. I share the behind the scenes journey of teaching myself to DJ and produce music and how showing up consistently with no audience is often the real work.
SAvvy Speaks
Signature Workshop
This is the emotional core of my work. In this workshop we talk about fear, resistance, and the masks we wear. I help participants reconnect with their inner voice and begin practicing authenticity not as an ideal but as a daily decision. It is tender. It is brave. And it stays with people long after the session ends.
Audience and Demographics
My work speaks to people who are navigating change, craving authenticity, or building something from the inside out. Whether they are artists, leaders, or simply humans in transition, my audiences tend to be heart-centered, creative, and open to inner exploration as a path to growth.
Typical Audience Profile
Age Range
25 to 45 is the core range, though my sessions often attract both emerging adults and more seasoned professionals who are reconnecting with purpose or creative identity.
Gender
Primarily women who are seeking safe spaces to explore leadership, creativity, and emotional expression. Inclusive and welcoming to all.
Geographic Reach
Global. I have worked with audiences across North America and Europe. My style is adaptive across cultures with a universal emphasis on connection, creativity, and inner work.
